An incredible charter featuring dives with the Argo submarine in Cocos island down to 300 meters discovering an incredible unknown marine life. The trip was also the occasion to dive rebreather among hundreds of beautiful hammerhead sharks. A must see destination!

MY SURPRISE (August 2011) MEXICO
It could not have been a more special trip to Baja California, Mexico. From day 1 to the end, every day was even more special, whether it be on the Pacific coast or in the Sea of Cortez: great white sharks, whale sharks, sperm whales, thousands of sea lions and seals, kelp forest, pelicans galore and an amazing desert scenery... It was a very vibrant journey full of marine life surprises!

MY MARY JEAN (July and September 2011)
With a 3 July charter starting in the remote atoll of Hao and a lot of technical diving scheduled during the cruise, it was a challenge! It took 15 pieces of luggage just for the dive side of things to meet the dive requirements but the crew made every effort to make it a successful charter. The rebreather diving was spectacular and everytime it feels like discovering the spots again! In September, we were back onboard for another 2 week cruise involving several introductions to diving in the Society Islands.

MY SEAWOLF (July and August 2011)
It is always very nice to step onboard a recently arrived boat and see that everyone is eager to discover French Polynesia and her islands. SY GEORGIA (June 2011)
What a pleasure it was for Julien to introduce the guests of Georgia to French Polynesia's marine wildlife through snorkeling safaris! One of the highlights was the encounter with spinner dolphins. Smooth sailing to Georgia further afield in the South Pacific.

MY SLOJO (May - June 2011) NEW CALEDONIA
Going back to New Caledonia was a fantastic experience, especially with the guests and crew of Slojo. The diving over the 4 week cruise was breathtaking and the shooting of the film with such a talented bunch of actors onboard could not have been any better. It was the perfect opportunity to shoot a new version of "Matrix Reloaded"!

MY TUSCAN SUN (April 2011) BAHAMAS

The Bahamas feature some incredible secluded areas and great diving.

MY SLOJO (January 2011)
What a pleasure to see Slojo, her owners and crew back in French Polynesia. An incredible boat to spend time with, great diving, nice parties, great movie! Will never forget the party on Motu Tapu in Bora Bora! What a memorable evening! See you soon in New Caledonia.

MY SURPRISE (December 2010 - January 2011) - GALAPAGOS / COCOS ISLAND
For any diver, Galapagos and Cocos Island are the trip of a lifetime. Having the chance to dive most of the islands of Galapagos including the secluded Darwin and Wolf islands was unbelievable. The number of hammerhead sharks, seals, iguanas was amazing. Watching nature without a human touch on land is very unique and more places should be kept like this in the world.

Incredible trip in the Bahamas with an exceptional encounter with tiger sharks at Tiger Beach, Gran Bahama. A must do again!

A great Tuamotu trip with a large group of people! Great experience onboard, beautiful Tahiti based yacht.

SY SILVERTIP (September 2009)
Julien and Rodolphe enjoyed diving with the guests of Silvertip around Moorea and the Tahiti Peninsula. A trip where humpback whales seemed to be waiting for the boat to come... Beautiful.

SY NELSON (August 2009)
Certainly a very special charter with very special people that Rodolphe is now joining all over the world. An exceptional quality of diving in the Tuamotu and a fabulous introduction to rebreather diving for the guests. Rebreather diving with a humpback by the reef of Moorea remains one the unforgettable moments of the season.

SY SONG OF THE SEA (August 2009)
The boat spent a few days around Moorea enjoying the island and their guests learning to dive in the pristine beautiful lagoon of Tahiti's sister island.

What was first supposed to be a few days to learn diving, became a 5 week dive trip around the Society Islands and Tuamotu atolls!

SY CARL LINNE (July 2009)
After so much time spent together, the crew of Carl Linne have become friends! Thierry enjoyed a few days with them diving the Society Islands. Carl Linne was also among our first clients getting really addicted to rebreather diving. They now even have their own equipment onboard!

SY CELANDINE (June 2009)
Unusual enough, a French speaking boat was visiting our waters! Serge enjoyed the trip with the crew and owner and family very much. It was also the opportunity for some of them to discover the beautiful under water world and learn to dive in the clear waters of Tahiti.

MY SOLAIA (May 2009)
Cruising the Society Islands with Solaia was a pleasure with a mix of land activies and nice dives around the various islands.

SY CARL LINNE (May 2009)
This press trip to feature Carl Linne and Tahiti is a prestigious book was wonderful. During the trip, Carl Linné proved she was an incredible sailing yacht perfectly fitted for the South Pacific winds. It has been a real pleasure to introduce everyone to the local marine wildlife and dive the Society Islands. Thank you to Carl Linné's owner and yacht manager, the wonderful crew for making this trip happen. See you soon for new adventures!
PS. to the attention of the crew: "I like the way they move"!

MY SLOJO (April 2009)
The movie I made during the cruise on Slojo shows extremely well how much fun there was on the boat throughout the trip around the Society islands. Although I have been struck by the dengue fever virus, I managed to finish the movie and Bruno will remember it for long!

MY AQUILA (March 2009)
This recce trip in the Tuamotu starting in Makemo was an excellent opportunity to get to know the crew and to make the most of rebreather diving. Following was a thrilling expedition to try and encounter pelagic sharks in Moorea. See you all very soon to watch the whales! C

MY KARIMA (Februay and March 2009)
Karima is used to cruising Tahitian waters and has been coming back to French Polynesia regularly with her owners for the past few years. This year, Thierry dived the Tuamotu with them for a couple of different trips and these keen divers had a great time.

MY ASKARI (January 2009)
The fun thing with Askari as it is year based in Tahiti and her islands is that both crew and clients are always seeking for new unexplored areas where fish have never seen a diver before! Thus, dive encounters can be amazing and unpredictable! This three week trip with  repeat clients keen on diving Tahiti was just great!

MY ULYSSES (October 2008)
Returning to French Polynesia allowed the expedition yacht Ulysses, her crew and owner to encounter the humpback whales around the island of Moorea followed by a dive trip in the Tuamotu. It was also the opportunity to introduce Ulysses to semi-closed rebreather diving. See you soon!

SY SILVERTIP (July & August 2008) - VANUATU
Two different trips sailing the Vanuatu islands was one of the most intense moments of 2008. Whether we dived the world's largest weck "The President Coolidge" or encountered isolated tribes in the North islands for genuine breathtaking ceremonies, both trips will remain unforgettable!

MV BULLISH (July 2008)
Joining Bullish and her crew is always very nice. This "honeymoon" dive charter was very successful for everyone and time went by too quickly! Thank you Gordon!

MY ASKARI (June & September 2008)
What a pleasure to catch up with this family for the second year in a row! This 3 week trip departing from Makemo to Rangiroa and then through Moorea was great. The movie made with the children made us all laugh out loud. They all came back end of August to encounter the whales around the island of Moorea.

MY JEMASA (April & May 2008) - AUSTRALIA / FIJI
Further to a discovery trip around the Tuamotu, Rodolphe met Jemasa on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia and in Fiji. His role consisted in following Jemasa while she was exploring new destinations in the South Pacific. The films made of both trips will allow everyone to remember these special moments for a long time. The slide competition was definitely one of them! We hope to see Jemasa and Suri in French Polynesia again very soon.

MY OCTOPUS (April 2008)
Although back for a very short period of time, it was great to catch up with everyone again in Tahiti and Moorea.

S/Y MALTESE FALCON (March, June & July 2008)
During her stay in French Polynesia, working onboard the Maltese Falcon was the most amazing adventure ever and I would like to thank Captain Chris Gartner again and all of the crew for their trust in Tahiti Private Expeditions when Thierry and Rodolphe dived with them during several of their charters in the Tuamotu and Society islands.

The team of Tahiti Private Expeditions also worked aboard MY Twizzle and MY Big Aron during the 2007 season. Thank you again for their trust in our services.

MY JEMASA (December 2007)
Ending the year aboard a ship such as Jemasa was a thrill! Rodolphe felt welcome as soon as I set foot onboard. Both the owners and the crew were extremely nice. Our dives were, as usual, wonderful and we all had a great time under the water. We hope to see Jemasa again very soon in another tropical part of the world.

SY CAVU (October – november 2007)
We couldn’t have felt more welcome by the guests when we arrived onboard. We shared two trips with them. The first one in the Tuamotu with fabulous dives and the second one in the Society islands with a group of girlfriends, as nice as Charlie’s Angels! Thank you to Cavu for these couples of experiences which were a lot of good fun.

SY SILVERTIP (September 2007)
Rodolphe only spent one day with Silvertip, but what a day! Certainly the most intense day throughout the season. Indeed, Silvertip is like a magnet attracting amazing encounters! In less than a day, we swam a few feet away from a 30 ft long humpback surrounded by a school of melon head dolphins. He can’t wait to work with Silvertip again since they have a really good « mana » as we say in Tahitian!
(1) A good spirit

MV BULLISH (August 2007)
It was not the first time I traveled with Bullish and her fantastic crew. Is it necessary to state that the dives were great? Our itinerary was very exciting, especially the stop in Mehetia. It was the first time I had the opportunity to get close to this isolated island. Mehetia is the most geological recent island of French Polynesia.
Its only inhabitants are a hundred of goats and seabirds. It looks definitely like the island of “Pirates of the Carribeans”. No lagoon and only 1.5 km diameter in size. The place is unique.

SY SQUALL (August 2007)
This was the dive experience of the season. Indeed, the dives were fabulous but one of them was even more special. We encountered a school of 20 manta feeding in the Toau pass in the Tuamotu. This was exceptional and extremely rare. Besides we were lucky enough to witness the mating of hundreds of trigger fish in Rangiroa. These encounters combined with the kindness of the clients and crew made the trip unique. Thank you Squall for these great moments!

MY HELIOS (July 2007)
It is kind of difficult to describe the 5 weeks spent aboard Helios... First of all, this has been the longest trip I ever did on a same boat. It has also been the opportunity to discover a new species of human beings! These people are crazy! Don’t get me wrong. They are crazy in a positive way. Guests and crew never stop making jokes and having fun. Your expectancy to remain dry on the rear deck is about 20 seconds before everyone gets organized to throw you in the water.
You will easily be gently smashed in the face with a pie tart or iced water!! The atmosphere combined with phenomal dives and atoll discovery made this cruise an unforgettable memory. Thanks for all this Helios!

MY ASKARI (Juin 2007)
My second trip onboard. I know the crew pretty well since they have been based in Moorea for a couple of years. It’s always great to work with them.
We explored the Tuamotu and made some really good encounters. Something struck me during this particular trip though. The guests arrived onboard with fairly negative ideas of how dangerous sharks are. This is a pretty normal and natural reaction.
However, their thirst of knowledge and broad mind allowed me to convey a positive message about these creatures. They are now convinced that sharks play a key role in the ecosystem and that it is necessary to protect and respect them. Thank you to these two wonderful families. Can’t wait to see them for new adventures!

M/Y ULYSSES (9th to 19th April 2007):
When I stepped aboard Ulysses, I immediately felt how friendly the crew was. A few hours before the arrival of the guests, I was, as usual, a bit nervous to meet them. Once again, I felt comfortable with them as soon as step on board. I also realized that there were not only friendly but also very enthused about the trip and to discover our islands and their magnificent undersea world.
The dives were fantastic and snorkelling at night with a manta ray was one of the high notes! Back home, I spent a few days working on the movie making and it was awesome to remember and watch some of the scenes of the time we spent together. I really hope that I get to see them again, especially since they are New Zealand neighbours and I still have a lot to make them discover over here.

M/Y YAAKUN (End of March 2007):
Yaakun is a 65 meter motor yacht. She left Spain in September last year for a round the world journey of about 2 years. A family lives aboard with a well organized life, such as regular school hours with several teachers for the children. I spent five days with them making the boys dive in a very friendly atmosphere. The crew was multi national with people from Morocco, Spain, Argentina…
Diving with the boys was great especially with the unforgetable lemon shark encounter in Bora Bora and the Napoleon wrasse of Muri Muri. I wish the best to all of them in their forthcoming adventures and hope they get to encounter other underwater marvels.

M/Y ASKARI (December 2006 – January 2007):
Askari has been cruising around the French Polynesian islands for a couple of years now. Thus, Captain Lon and his crew have a wide knowledge of this country.  However, they invited me to join them aboard for a three week charter trip around the Tuamotu atolls.Diving, surf and atoll exploration were the daily activities for an unusual cruise.  Indeed, I seldom had the opportunity to visit the islands located South of Fakarava before. We visited Makemo, Tepoto, Tahanea… beautiful untouched places.  This experience with the team aboard Askari was awesome and hopefully the first of many others in the future

M/Y SORCHA (August - September 2006):
Sorcha is a 140 feet motor yacht travelling around the Pacific. Departing from Florida, they sailed to Belize, then Galapago, Marquesas, Tuamotu and Society islands in French Polynesia. They will then head to Rarotongo, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Alaska and the West Coast of the US.  We spent unforgettable moments together in September 2006. First in the Tuamotu islands where we visited Fakarava and Rangiroa where we encountered many sharks, rays, tuna fish and many other fish.  The highlight of our Tuamotu dives was definitely our encounter with a 9 foot long great hammerhead shark in the Avatoru Pass of Rangiroa. Our cruise in the Society Islands was obviously shared between diving and whale watching, September being the peak season to see them. Sorcha has now left Tahiti and her islands for other adventures and I already miss them and the rest of the crew.

S/Y DOUCE FRANCE (August-September 2006):
At the time being, Douce France is the largest catamaran worldwide. The 130 feet sailing boat took us to the best spots of the Society Islands and Rangiroa.
We all had a good time sharing moments diving to meet, among others, lemon sharks and turtles, the stars of our dives.

M /Y BULLISH (July 2006):
As usual in the Tuamotu, we had many shark encounters during our cruise aboard Bullish together with drift dives in the power current of the passes.
However, in Rangiroa, thanks to extremely good conditions, we met many manta rays and dolphins and a shark feeding in “the blue” obviously was the highlight of their day.
In Moorea, during a whale watching trip, we spent two hours with two whales and about 40 pilot whales and an oceanic white tip shark, all of them swimming together, very quietly.
These precious moments will be remembered by all of us as very special.
We are expecting Bullish to return from New Zealand to sail with them for new adventures

MY OCTOPUS (April - May 2006) :
During extremely good dives and conditions, we came face to face with a 12 foot long great hammerhead shark among hundreds of grey sharks in the middle of their mating season in Tupita Pass, Rangiroa.
The trip aboard Octopus was a very unique experience, not only because of the size of the ship, but also because of the high tech equipment available aboard.
This is how we carried out, for the very first time, a 3.000 foot deep dive thanks to a Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV), a robot with a very HD quality underwater camera.
At that depth, life is everywhere with prawns, crabs, sponges, shells living at the bottom of the Pacific ocean. Impossible to forget the encounter with a living sea “dinosaur”: a chimera, a deep sea cartilaginous fish (such as rays and sharks), which swam around the camera for about 20 minutes.

M/Y PANGAEA (December 2005 - January 2006, July 2006):
The various trips with Pangea were all excellent and are difficult to summarize. The ship spent two years in French Polynesia, based in Tahiti. The Captain, Michael, and his crew enjoyed discovering very remote areas, still unexplored by yachts, and Rodolphe joined them to visit very isolated atolls with their guests. It gave him the opportunity to visit and dive very special areas of the Tuamotu. He would like to particularly thank Pangaea for the confidence they had in him and their support to develop Tahiti Private Expeditions. Pangaea was sold in July 2006 and left Tahiti with a brand new crew.

M/Y MAVERICK (October 2005) :
Rodolphe spent a month aboard with the owners. They sailed to the Society and Tuamotu islands.
Sharks, dolphins, rays, turtles were there during the dives. However, a very special encounter made this trip a unique one for all of us aboard Maverick.
In they deed,  swam with a Minke whale between Maupiti and Bora Bora, a unique experience in the cetacean history of French Polynesia. One or two persons had explained having seen one in the past, but there was no scientific proof of such an encounter. This is now recorded in the scientific world.
Thanks for all this, Maverick!

SY IPIXUNA (August 2005):
Rodolphe joined the beautiful 80 foot Swan for a spear fishing cruise to the Tuamotu islands. Being friends with the owner, he was extremely kind to invite him aboard for the trip. Craving to see something even more spectacular, we went to an FAD (Fish attracting Device – kind of a buoy offshore the atolls) attracting a wide variety of pelagic fish.  This is how the opportunity was given to swim for over an hour with a school of Mahi Mahi (dolphin fish) and five oceanic white tip sharks.  To date, Rodolphe is the only photographer in French Polynesia to have pictures of live Mahi Mahi.
One of these pictures has been used for a 10 year exhibition at the Melbourne Museum.

SY AURORA (April -May 2005):
This 150 foot Perini Navi is quite special to me, not only for the quality of diving, but also since it was the first yacht to have confidence in Rodolphe's skills and great knowledge of French Polynesia.
