As part of Operation Turu and the continued support of education across French Polynesia, YAG team and participating yacht crew recently delivered teaching supplies to the remote shores of Amanu atoll in the Tuamotu Archipelago.
The teaching and learning materials delivered – including iPads, children’s books and a video projector – are very beneficial for the school, enabling them to provide more complete educational opportunities for the island’s children. Many of remote islands that provide such pristine and unparalleled cruising for yachting enthusiasts often lack sufficient resources needed to provide the education required for achieving the youth’s learning, growth and development.
