The great news from Costa Rica this morning fills me with HOPE! Expanding the Cocos Island National Park is a big step forward for Costa Rica and for safeguarding 30% of the ocean by 2030.
Cocos Island holds a special place in my heart. It is one of my favorite dive sites, and home to important ocean wildlife like sharks, whales, and sea turtles. Three cheers are in order for Costa Rica and President Carlos Alvarado Quesada and Minister Andrea Meza!
