So lucky to have swam with these guys, rarely seen around French Polynesia! Last week on our way back from the Tuamotu, playful, curious orcas.
Belize bound for some of the team for a new expedition.
The remote Tuamotu archipelago hosts beautiful healthy reefs along its 78 atolls. Very little human activity – often none for many of these islands, uninhabited – and remoteness contribute greatly to the health of the coral, home to thousands of marine species which survival depends solely on it. Some of the most beautiful dives around French Polynesia await there.

Looks like climate change is forcing crustaceans out of their shells! 🐚
Shelled sea life, like this Mantis Shrimp, require calcium carbonate to form their shells. Sadly, as oceans warm and become more acidic, these animals have to work harder to fortify their shells. 🦀🦐
With ocean acidification increasing rapidly, these vital organisms might not stand a chance. Eventually, there will not be enough calcium carbonate for them to protect themselves and there might not be enough time for them to adapt to such rapidly changing conditions.
