In 2024, a conversation with superyacht guests and government officials sparked a simple yet powerful idea:
Why not dedicate a day at sea for teenagers from local foster homes — giving them the opportunity to explore the lagoon’s marine life, understand the environmental threats facing our ocean, and inspire them to become ocean ambassadors… all while having fun?
This week, that idea became reality for the second time and will be repeated twice a year.
Thanks to the invaluable support of @hiltonhoteltahiti Hilton and shark specialist Dr. Clémentine Séguigne from IREMP Lab, several young girls experienced an immersive and educational day at sea — discovering, learning, and connecting with the ocean in a meaningful way.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child smile.
This initiative is part of @yachtaidglobal’s Operation Turu.
